phaeno opened its doors for the first time on 24 November 2005 - and since then has welcomed almost 4.8 million visitors to the fascinating world of science. 20 years later, phaeno is celebrating its anniversary under special circumstances: the remodelling required a 7-week closure. However, guests were able to look forward to a brilliant re-opening on 13 and 14 December 2025 with free admission. CEO Michel Junge on the history and development of the Wolfsburg Science Centre and the big anniversary celebration.
