Anniversary programme 13/14 December 2025
Bodypainting.
Art that comes to life.
Colours, shapes, fascination - the internationally renowned bodypainting artist Gesine Marwedel transforms bodies into living works of art. Impressive motifs that merge technique, nature and emotion will be created before your eyes on the anniversary days.
In her live performances, skin becomes a canvas, movement becomes a message and colour becomes an experience. Gesine lets art breathe - and combines it with the creative world of experimentation at phaeno.
Let yourself be surprised by spontaneous performances, new perspectives and moments in which art and science go hand in hand.
The Living Couch.
Take a seat if you dare!
It looks cosy. But this sofa has it all! The Living Couch listens, asks questions, whispers - and makes you think.
This award-winning installation moves between theatre, art and science: Sit down, lean back - and experience how the seemingly silent suddenly comes to life. A fascinating game about control, communication and relationships - right in the middle of phaeno.
What happens when an object suddenly develops a life of its own? Find out - on the couch that makes you think (and maybe tickles you a little).
3D street art.
When the floor becomes an illusion.
Watch out, the floor is opening! Or does it? The 3D artist Fredda Wouters creates amazing street and floor paintings that draw you into the centre of fantastic worlds.
Using chalk, perspective and lots of creativity, she transforms surfaces into dizzying depths and surreal spaces. Her art thrives on your perspective - and on you becoming part of the artwork.
Come, see, photograph, marvel - and discover how reality and illusion merge!
Till Seifert.
Music that moves the senses.
Honest, emotional, genuinely phaeno!
The singer-songwriter Till Seifert brings music to the Science Centre with his guitar and a big portion of heart.
His songs tell stories of courage, change and new beginnings - perfect for a phaeno that is reinventing itself. With a lot of emotion and energy, Till transforms every room into a place full of sound, warmth and a spirit of discovery.
A musician who proves it: Music can also experiment - with sounds, emotions and a great deal of curiosity.
Elements of Fire.
When sparks ignite ideas.
Light shimmers, fire dances, the floor vibrates - welcome to Elements of Fire!
In their spectacular show, pyrotechnics, light art and sound merge into an experience that you can feel, see and hear.
A play of elements that turns science into performance: How does light influence our perception? How does energy transform into emotion?
Experience the interplay of technology, art and nature in a production that pushes boundaries - and guarantees amazement.
Culinary delights.
Still

Let us surprise you and look forward to the big anniversary celebration on 13 and 14 December 2025 - admission is free. Join us as we open the next chapter of phaeno together.
