Christmas holidays at phaeno

phaeno Christmas programme with shows, chocolate workshop and wishing tree campaign.

New show "Sulphur's journey into space!"

phaeno is launching its (pre-)Christmas programme from 23 November with a brand new show for the whole family. Sulfur, a curious lab rat, dreams of exploring outer space. The guests are there live when Sulfur works out special experiments on rocket launches or the vacuum in space. In addition to this programme, there is also a chocolate workshop during the Christmas holidays, which attracts guests with its aromatic scent. If you like, you can merge with your counterpart during a Christmas family outing in the Mirror Worlds exhibition or build a large Christmas star with 50,000 caplestones in the construction area.

Pre-Christmas events

Three special events await guests in the run-up to Christmas: on 4 December, there will be a senior citizens' day with a peaceful atmosphere and extra coffee and cake in the bistro. On the Advent weekend on 7 and 8 December, there will be a festive atmosphere on the forecourt with stalls selling children's punch and sweet and savoury treats. Gifts can even be laser-engraved with the name of your choice in the shop on these days. For the first time, there will be "quiet hours" in the exhibition on 13 December. Anyone who is quickly overwhelmed by all the noises and lights can enjoy phaeno more quietly from 2.30 pm. Loud exhibits and shrill lights are reduced.

phaeno Advent calendar with knowledge treasures

phaeno has entered into a very special co-operation for Christmas so that the experiences at the exhibits at phaeno can be enjoyed in greater depth at home: The WAS IST WAS books from Tessloff Verlag are real treasures of knowledge for children. The publisher's vision is to get every child excited about knowledge. The books present a wide range of topics in an exciting and informative way, from animals and plants to technology, space travel, history and culture. With impressive pictures, creative graphics and captivating texts, the Tessloff titles strengthen human curiosity and encourage the spirit of enquiry. 24 titles have been selected for an Advent calendar with a competition, which can be won every day with a little luck on the phaeno website.

Wishing tree at phaeno

The phaeno also wants to emphasise the Christmas spirit of making someone happy with presents by setting up a wishing tree. In the entrance area there will soon be a tree with wishes from children who are mourning the loss of a family member. With the help of the guests, phaeno, in cooperation with Trostinsel and SONne (services offered by the hospice work in the Wolfsburg region), would like to bring joy to children. Guests can choose a wish and send it to phaeno as a gift. All gifts will be handed over collectively on 12 January.
