School`s out day 2025 - recap

We had a fantastic program with lots of indoor and outdoor activities for Schools Out Day on July 2nd! From the big baseball pitching machine to the children's lab to face painting. The day will remain a wonderful memory. In Conehall, Radio 38 provided great music for a good atmosphere. A big thank you goes to our event partners - the Wolfsburg City Library, Superleggera, Tuckelbützchen, Pizza Enzo, hotcar, ketchupbrause, the children's lab, Radio 38, the Wolfsburg Blackbirds, and the dedicated phaeno team! Thank you all. Despite the hot weather, it was a fantastic day!

School`s Out Day in pictures

The School's Out Day on 2 July was so great with you! We braved the hot weather and experienced a lot together with you: many guests young and old tried out baseball for the first time in the outdoor area with the Wolfsburg Blackbirds and hit a ball back in the huge throwing area, besieged the bouncy castle, hit the bull's eye at the football darts and enjoyed lots of ice cream (Zeugni ice cream!), crepes, pizza and fries at the food trucks. At phaeno, we experienced a wonderful picture book cinema together and made soundscapes, created imaginative structures from everyday materials in the children's lab, decorated great cards with precise lettering using hand lettering, tried out electrical gadgets and origami tricks in the new tinkering zone and, above all, had a lot of fun together. The show with the funny lab rat Sulfur was also very popular. For those who missed the day: The tinkering zone and the show are also part of our summer programme!

Im Kinderlabor darf jeder aus Papier basteln, was er möchte.

Ein Baseballspieler von dem Wolfsburg Blackbirds zeigt den Gästen, wie man einen Ball in der Wurfmaschine trifft.

In einer großen Wurfmaschine sausen Bälle auf den Spieler zu, der diese versucht mit einem Baseballschläger zurückzuschlagen.

Im Bilderbuchkino der Stadtbibibliothek lauschen Leseratten coolen Stories und basteln dazu Geräuschemacher.

Mit Sarina Künetz von ketchupbrause macht Handlettering besonders viel Freude.

In der Hüpfburg toben sich die jüngeren Gäste aus.

Im Kinderlabor dürfen Kinder mit Pappe, Papier und Draht ihre eigenen Ideen verwirklichen.

Ein Pappschild weist auf das kreative Kinderlabor hin.

Im neuen Pavillon of Lights gibt es nur grünes, gelbes oder rotes Licht. So sieht das eigene Spiegelbild mit Mustern an der Wand ständig anders aus.

In der Tüftelzone im phaeno gibt es viele elektrische Spielereien.
