Using discovery tour sheets, the pupils answer various questions within the exhibition. It starts with the red sock. How is it possible that it was knitted from carbon dioxide?
Finding the answer is no problem for the chemistry specialisation course. Carbon dioxide from industrial waste gases is used as a carbon source to produce the necessary chemicals. The participants are fascinated by the possibilities, but at the same time very sceptical. This is because although carbon dioxide from exhaust gases is used (consumed) for this process, it also requires a lot of energy.
